كشفت وكالة بلومبرغ، اليوم، نقلاً ​عن مسؤولين كبار في الإدارة الأمريكية أن واشنطن تجري محادثات مع شركات ومنتجين آخرين للنفط الخام ومقدمي خدمات حقول نفط رئيسيين بشأن وضع خطة لزيادة إنتاج الخام ‌في فنزويلا بسرعة.

وجاء ‌في التقرير أن ‌المسؤولين ⁠ناقشوا ​الاعتماد ‌على شركات معينة في إصلاح المعدات القديمة واستبدالها وتحديث مواقع الحفر القديمة.

استثمارات محدودة

وذكر التقرير أن فنزويلا يمكنها باستثمارات محدودة زيادة الإنتاج بمئات الآلاف من البراميل على المدى ​القصير، لافتاً إلى أن المعدات والتقنيات الأمريكية الحديثة قد تنعش الآبار ⁠الحالية وتدخل إنتاجاً جديداً في غضون أشهر.

من جهته، قال الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أمس: «إن شركات نفط أمريكية ستبدأ قريباً في التنقيب عن النفط في فنزويلا».

وكان ترمب واضحاً بشأن رغبته في زيادة إنتاج النفط في فنزويلا في أعقاب القبض على الرئيس ‌نيكولاس مادورو.

Bloomberg reported today, citing senior officials in the U.S. administration, that Washington is in talks with companies and other crude oil producers and major oil field service providers to devise a plan to quickly increase crude production in Venezuela.

The report stated that the officials discussed relying on certain companies to repair, replace, and upgrade old drilling sites.

Limited Investments

The report mentioned that Venezuela could increase production by hundreds of thousands of barrels in the short term with limited investments, noting that modern American equipment and technologies could revitalize current wells and bring new production online within months.

For his part, U.S. President Donald Trump said yesterday, "American oil companies will soon begin drilling for oil in Venezuela."

Trump has been clear about his desire to increase oil production in Venezuela following the arrest of President Nicolás Maduro.
