تباطأ النمو السنوي لأسعار المنازل في المملكة المتحدة خلال شهر مايو، في ظل حالة عدم اليقين والمخاوف الاقتصادية الناتجة عن تطورات الأوضاع الجيوسياسية مما أثر سلبًا على الطلب.

ووفقًا لأحدث البيانات الصادرة عن مؤسسة «نيشن وايد» أمس (الإثنين)، تراجعت أسعار العقارات السكنية على أساس شهري بعد التعديل وفقًا للعوامل الموسمية، ويمثل هذا الانخفاض أول هبوط شهري لأسعار المنازل في بريطانيا منذ مطلع العام الحالي.

وأوضح كبير الاقتصاديين في مؤسسة «نيشن وايد» روبرت جاردنر أن فقدان الزخم في سوق العقارات كان متوقعًا في ظل التوترات المتصاعدة بمنطقة الشرق الأوسط، وما تبعها من قفزات في أسعار الطاقة العالمية، وهو ما أضعف ثقة المستهلكين لتصل إلى أدنى مستوياتها منذ أواخر عام 2023.

The annual growth of house prices in the United Kingdom slowed down in May, amid uncertainty and economic concerns arising from geopolitical developments, which negatively affected demand.

According to the latest data released by Nationwide yesterday (Monday), residential property prices fell on a monthly basis after seasonal adjustments, marking the first monthly decline in house prices in Britain since the beginning of this year.

Robert Gardner, the chief economist at Nationwide, explained that the loss of momentum in the housing market was expected given the escalating tensions in the Middle East, followed by spikes in global energy prices, which weakened consumer confidence to its lowest levels since late 2023.
