عقد وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بندر بن إبراهيم الخريّف اجتماعًا ثنائيًا في مدينة سانت بطرسبرغ الروسية مع وزير التنمية الاقتصادية في روسيا الاتحادية مكسيم ريشيتنيكوف؛ لمناقشة سبل تعزيز الشراكات الاقتصادية بين البلدين، وتنمية الاستثمارات المشتركة في قطاعي الصناعة والتعدين.

وأكد الاجتماع عمق العلاقات التاريخية التي تربط المملكة وروسيا الاتحادية، إذ يحتفي البلدان هذا العام بمرور 100 عام على إقامة العلاقات الدبلوماسية بينهما، التي تمثل ركيزة مهمة لتعزيز الروابط الاقتصادية المشتركة، وتنمية التبادل التجاري الذي يتجاوز حاليًا 3.28 مليار دولار أمريكي.

كما ناقش الجانبان سبل تمكين القطاع الخاص في البلدين من بناء شراكات استثمارية فاعلة، والاستفادة من الفرص المتبادلة في قطاعي الصناعة والتعدين، بما يسهم في الارتقاء بمستوى التعاون الاقتصادي إلى آفاق أوسع تتناسب مع الإمكانات الكبيرة والفرص المتاحة لدى البلدين.

ويأتي الاجتماع على هامش مشاركة وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية في منتدى سانت بطرسبرغ الاقتصادي الدولي 2026، الذي يُعد من أبرز المنصات الاقتصادية العالمية التي تجمع قادة الحكومات وكبار المسؤولين والمستثمرين؛ لمناقشة القضايا الاقتصادية الدولية واستشراف فرص التعاون والاستثمار.

The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, held a bilateral meeting in Saint Petersburg, Russia, with the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Maxim Reshetnikov, to discuss ways to enhance economic partnerships between the two countries and develop joint investments in the industrial and mining sectors.

The meeting emphasized the depth of the historical relations that bind the Kingdom and the Russian Federation, as both countries celebrate this year the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between them, which represents an important pillar for strengthening common economic ties and developing trade exchange that currently exceeds 3.28 billion US dollars.

Both sides also discussed ways to empower the private sector in both countries to build effective investment partnerships and take advantage of mutual opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors, contributing to elevating the level of economic cooperation to broader horizons that match the significant potential and available opportunities in both countries.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources' participation in the 2026 Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is considered one of the most prominent global economic platforms that brings together government leaders, senior officials, and investors to discuss international economic issues and explore opportunities for cooperation and investment.
