خفّض بنك جي بي مورغان توقعاته لأسعار الذهب خلال العام الحالي. وتوقع أن يبلغ متوسط سعر الأوقية نحو 4.300 دولار في الربع الثالث، على أن يرتفع إلى 4.500 دولار في الربع الرابع، بعدما كان البنك يرجح في يونيو الماضي وصول المعدن النفيس إلى 6 آلاف دولار بنهاية العام.

وحافظ «جي بي مورغان» على نظرته الإيجابية للذهب على المدى الطويل، متوقعاً استمرار ارتفاع الأسعار خلال عام 2027 بدعم من مشتريات البنوك المركزية واستمرار الطلب الفعلي على المعدن الأصفر.

تعزيز الاحتياطيات

من جهة ثانية، أظهرت بيانات مجلس الذهب العالمي استمرار البنوك المركزية في تعزيز احتياطياتها من الذهب، بعدما سجلت مشتريات صافية بلغت 41 طناً خلال شهر مايو الماضي، في مؤشر على استمرار توجه المؤسسات النقدية نحو زيادة حيازاتها من الذهب.

وتصدرت بولندا قائمة المشترين بإضافة 18 طناً إلى احتياطياتها، تلتها الصين بـ10 أطنان.

JPMorgan has lowered its gold price forecasts for the current year. It expects the average price of an ounce to reach about $4,300 in the third quarter, rising to $4,500 in the fourth quarter, after the bank previously anticipated that the precious metal would reach $6,000 by the end of the year last June.

JPMorgan has maintained its positive outlook for gold in the long term, expecting prices to continue rising through 2027, supported by central bank purchases and sustained demand for the yellow metal.

Strengthening Reserves

On another note, data from the World Gold Council showed that central banks continue to strengthen their gold reserves, having recorded net purchases of 41 tons in May, indicating that monetary institutions are still inclined to increase their gold holdings.

Poland topped the list of buyers by adding 18 tons to its reserves, followed by China with 10 tons.
