أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أنه سيسمح باستيراد ما يصل إلى 300 ألف طن متري من اللحم البقري المفروم دون رسوم جمركية لمدة 90 يوماً، خارج الحصة المحددة.

وأوضح في منشور عبر منصته «تروث سوشيال» أن هذه الخطوة ستتيح بيع اللحم للمستهلكين الأمريكيين بسعر يقل بنسبة 25% عن أسعار السوق الحالية.

وأضاف: «كما يعلم الجميع، ارتفعت أسعار لحوم الأبقار بأسرع وتيرة، وانخفض قطيع الأبقار الأمريكي إلى أدنى مستوى له في التاريخ الحديث».

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he will allow the import of up to 300,000 metric tons of ground beef duty-free for 90 days, outside the specified quota.

He explained in a post on his platform "Truth Social" that this move will enable the sale of beef to American consumers at a price that is 25% lower than current market prices.

He added: "As everyone knows, beef prices have risen at the fastest rate, and the U.S. cattle herd has dropped to its lowest level in modern history."
